Border Lacemakers were established in 1988 by the joining of various adult education classes after the tutor would tell stories and advise what other crafters were doing in her other classes.
We meet bi-monthly on the 1st Saturday of the month from 10:00 to 3:30 and meetings are held at Goytre Village hall or the Beaufort Centre in Newport.
We regularly have speakers, suppliers, work shops and supply our own entertainment at our meetings making each one very different and entertaining!!
We currently have nearly 50 members aged from teenage to 100 though some might say that our age range is larger as some of us prefer to act our shoe size instead of our ages!!
All full members receive a quarterly newsletter which is full of information and fun articles and access to a comprehensive library from which all members are entitled to borrow.
The cost of annual membership is:
£12.00 for lace guild members
£15.00 for non lace guild members
